About

Biography: At an age when most professionals were thinking of retirement, Steven Kent Sanford decided to embark on a new professional career as a freelance composer.

Leaving behind over forty years in professional roles as an Army Captain, Electrical Engineer, Programmer, Systems Administrator, Information Technology Manager, and Project Executive, he went back to college for six years to study music, acquiring a Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition, and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Music Composition and Film Scoring.

Steve studied composition with William Averitt, David T. Little, Ruby Fulton, Don DiNicola, Rick Baitz, and Ravi Krishnaswami. He has composed media scores for animation, films, television, games, and advertising, as well as choral, chamber, and orchestral works, ballet scores, and pop songs.
